Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in Washington. I'm the youngest of five kids in my family. I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in west side of Washington State, I learned to love the outdoors and God's nature. I am the youngest of five kids in my family and am also an uncle to 5 nephews, and 5 nieces. I played tennis all four years of high school and enjoyed the competition and the challenge of improving. After graduating high school in 2016, I attended a year of college at BYU-Idaho. During this time I learned a lot about myself. I learned who I wanted to be spiritually, and the experience overall helped me become a better person. I have recently been called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am excited and blessed to be a servant of the Lord and serve others for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church, I never had my own testimony. True conversion was never a topic I understood until I reached the age of 18. I based my testimony off of my parents, siblings, and other church members in my ward. I thought that that was enough, and so do a lot of kids that are born into the church. There came a point in my life that I questioned why I was still going to church and why I even put forth an effort. These feelings and questions were surfacing because I had not been taught to seriously have my own testimony- and if I was being taught, I was not putting forth the effort to gain my own testimony. As I took my testimony seriously, I began to get into the habit of daily prayer and scripture study. This led me to focus on myself. My problems, sins, and trials that I had looked past for quite some time. I looked to Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father after all of that and that is when my testimony began to grow. I am a Mormon because I believe in the truthfulness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because I want to be. I am a Mormon because nothing else connects together in my brain more than this gospel does. It all makes sense and has to be true. I am a Mormon because of the feelings that I constantly get as I put forth effort and seek to know more about the gospel, and as I repent and grow as a Son of God. Lastly, I am a Mormon because I have wonderful parents, siblings, family, friends, and church leaders that have helped me come to know that it is the true church. They have led by example, and have taught me the importance of love, forgiveness, and repentance, and why it matters most in this world to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to attend all of my meetings throughout the week, and also participate in those meetings to share with others my testimony. I may not have a calling at the time, I will soon be a missionary. I think that that will also be a major way of me showing how I live my faith. I am giving two years of my time to the Lord so that I can brings others unto Christ. It is also important to me to live my faith through example. I want to be the same person that people see at church on any other given day of the week. Christ lived his faith through example, and I strive to do just that.
