Hi I'm Leah Wilson

I grew up in Nephi, Utah. I did a service project making scarves for women in a women's shelter. I love service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy dancing, singing, and being musical. I enjoy playing the flute and playing the piano. I try my best to be a social and a friendly person. I love going adventuring and trying new things. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In my family there is my mom, dad, 3 sisters, and one little brother. I also have 2 brother-in-laws and one nephew. I have lived in a few different places through-out my life. I lived in Iowa for a while when I was in high school and that was a great experience to see what life is like elsewhere. I had a hard time fitting in there but was blessed with some great individuals who helped me make it through those rough years. In high school I participated in band, choir, and cheer-leading. I was able to take almost 4 years of Spanish while in high school and loved it. I enjoyed learning about the Latina culture and all the traditions that they have. After I graduated from high school, I was a nanny in Washington for 6 months. After nannying, I came back to my home state where I worked for a company that takes care of people who have disabilities. That was a great experience for me and helped me to grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, to be Christ's only true church which has been restored to this earth. I am a Mormon because I love the peace and happiness that comes from living this gospel of Jesus Christ and knowing that Christ lives and loves me. I love knowing that I have a Savior who died for me and suffered for my sins because he was perfect and I am not. Without him I would be lost. I can feel at peace knowing that I can be forgiven of my sins and be made clean in his sight. I can not only be forgiven, but I can find peace and comfort when hard times come. Because Christ suffered for me, for not only my sins but for all the hard things that I would have to go through, he can feel how I feel in exactness. He can understand perfectly what I may be feeling and what I may be going through. Even when there is no one else who understands, there is always Jesus. He can help me feel peace because he has felt what I have felt in exactness. Every pain, heartache, and difficulty in every form. He can be there for me. I am a Mormon because I am able to know that Heavenly Father has a great plan for us all. He has created the plan of happiness which allows families to be together forever. I am so grateful that even though we will lose loved ones in this life, that there is a way to be with them again. That by following the plan that Heavenly Father has set up for us, that we can be with our families forever and return to live in the presence of Heavenly Father and our Savior. I have lost loved ones in my life and that was such a hard time for me. I can't imagine not knowing that there's life after death and that we can be with our families again forever. I knew that our loving Father in Heaven has made a plan for us, which allows us to be with our families again and that brought me comfort. I am a Mormon because I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and hears and answers our prayers always.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, by attending church each week. I enjoy going to church and learning more and coming closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I also read from the scriptures. From both the Bible and The Book Of Mormon, which is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I pray every day and do my best to pray both morning and at night. I do my best to be like Jesus Christ and live my life the way that he would want me to. I do my best to follow God's commandments and I do my best to make sure that I am always kind to others. I enjoying serving others as well. In church I do not have a calling currently, but in the past I have taught the 6 and 7 year olds in Sunday school. As a youth I was given callings to help lead and help the girls in my age group with what they needed. The responsibilities that were a part of this calling, also included planning activities for the girls to participate in youth group.
