Hi I'm Malachi

I've lived in several states in the western United States. I was in the orchestra. I will serve a mission in Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I played football, threw shot and discus in track, and played the cello. I enjoy all sports especially football and basketball. I love hiking, fishing, and camping. I read a lot and also like to listen to music. I collect rare minerals and interesting rocks as well as currency from foreign countries. I will attend BYU-Idaho once I complete my mission service.

Why I am a Mormon

After many years of attending church just because that's what I was told to do I began to question if I really had a reason of my own to come each week. I thought about it and realized that growing up in the LDS religion had blessed my life. The teachings I had learned such as hard work, faith, charity and others helped me to live a happy life. I decided that while my reasons to come were good, I needed to know if the gospel was true. I prayed about the Book of Mormon and found through personal revelation from God that it was. I felt its truth resound in my soul. Ever since then I may not have been perfect but the gospel has truly helped me to overcome many trials and has taught me so much about loving myself, others and my God.

How I live my faith

I teach 7 and 8 year old kids the gospel on Sundays and I serve and study scriptures during the week. Every month I visit a few families to check on their well being as well as talk and get to know them and share an uplifting message.
