Hi I'm Marion

I'm from Colorado. I love music, theatre, and dance. I'm studying to be a theatre teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, theatre, and dance! I just finished my second year at BYU studying Theatre Education. I'm headed on a mission to Finland very soon. I have four brothers. I love the outdoors, reading, dogs, birds, and flowers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, coming from a long line of faithful members. I have come to fit into this legacy by gaining my own testimony of the church. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have felt of its power and truth. I know the Savior lives and loves each of us so much. The gospel gives me hope and confidence because I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Young Women's First Counselor in my ward, and I have been so blessed to have this calling. This means that I watch over, teach, and help plan activities for the 12-18 year old girls in my ward. I love serving with the girls and getting to know them. I love hearing their testimonies and simply being around them. They are such an inspiration to me.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Marion
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the sacrifice that Christ made for us when he suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross. He performed this Atonement so that we would not have to pay the demands of justice for all of our sins; instead, we can repent and be forgiven when we make mistakes. This sacrifice covers all sins of all people who ever lived or who ever will live, making it possible for all of us to return to live with God after we die. The Atonement also caused Christ to feel all of our pains, weaknesses, sorrows, and afflictions, meaning that he understands us perfectly and knows how to help us. Show more Show less
