Hi I'm Kiara

I am child 6 out of 8, I grew up on a pig ranch, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a large family. My parents are divorced and remarried. This brings my family to a total of 2 sets of parents, 7 biological siblings, 6 step siblings, and me. I love singing, running, reading, writing, sleeping, eating, smiling, laughing, etc. ( I just love living life!) Being outside is one of my greatest loves! Hiking, camping, and playing sports bring me to my happy place. I admit I am competitive even sometimes in silly things like blowing bubbles. I am always one to enjoy challenging myself in any way I can. This is one reason why I love being a college student; the constant challenge. I am the kind of person that I want to make sure everyone around me is happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but in my teens I of course questioned the religion taught to me since birth. I visited other churches and I decided to put my churches teachings to the test over the course of several years. For example, they say that studying the scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon) daily will bring you blessings. I went a time without studying it and then I went a time with studying. I noticed when I studied I felt happier, less stressed, at peace, stronger, more patient, and so many other things. I likewise put the other teachings/guidelines of the church to the test and found that it was better when I lived them. I'm a Mormon because living the teachings enrich my life and relationships with those I know and meet. I'm a Mormon because through the teachings I have come to know God and Jesus Christ and their love for me better. I'm a Mormon because through the teachings of the church I have come to love myself, family, friends, and even strangers more than I could imagine. I'm a Mormon because being one helps me be a better person. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I love to serve those in my community and church. Getting to know my neighbors is always fun. I enjoy helping them out in any way they may need it. (Yard work, babysitting, carpooling, moving in or out, listening to their day, etc) In my church I work with the 3-4 year old's. Teaching them about God and Jesus Christ and their love for them is such a blessing. As part of my service in my church I also visit different women to make sure they know they have a friend and lend support wherever it may be needed.
