Hi I'm Anna Mathiesen

I am a traveler, runner, and ice cream lover!

About Me

I am from Denmark, and I am a person who loves to travel, meet new people, and experience different cultures. Some of my favorite experiences have been to go on inter rail through Europe, backpack in China, climb a volcano in Iceland, Road trips in The States, and visiting the Holy Land of Israel. I graduated from the Gymnasium (High School/ Collage) this summer. My field of study was phycology, social studies, and English. I love to educate my mind, read books, and listen to audio books. Other than that, I am an outdoor person who loves to go on hikes and run. I also love to be creative and design things. Everything that involves a pair of scissors and colorful cardboard will cause a big smile to appear on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the happy message that our church brings! I am so grateful that I have a knowledge of God’s plan for his children and for the assurance that his plan is designed for our progress, happiness, and salvation. This assurance has strengthened and encouraged me during the hardest times of my life. Christ really is our savior and redeemer, the light and the hope of the world, and the source of all life. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true and living word of God, and I know that the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith in the Latter- Days. God did indeed answere Joseph Smith's honest prayer when he sought to find truth. God has answered my prayer and I know that he will answer yours as well. I know that we have living prophets, seers, and revelators who lead the church today. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father leads and guides his children through living prophets who can help us change our life for the better. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ truly have brough joy and happiness to me and my family.

How I live my faith

In the past, I have been a Sunday School teacher in my ward. I taught the 12- 13 year old's about the special beliefs that we have that make us happy. I have also been a secetary in the childrens organisation called Primary. I have participated in the ward music committy and I am currently directing music in our meetings. One of the church callings I really enjoy is visiting teaching. It is a chance for me and my companion to visit women in our ward. The purpos of visiting teaching is to help and strengthen the women in the ward.
