Hi I'm Spencer

I've grown up almost all my life in Texas. I've love the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family out in it!

About Me

I love spending time at the lake! Anything to do on the water is a great time, and anything with my friends or family makes it that much better! My top hobbies include watersports, mountain biking, and almost any sport that includes running! To contrast the time I spend outside I love to read, probably too much, and am the biggest movie fan in the world! Nothing excites me like adding a new book or film to my collection, as well as researching my favorite topics. I love to learn new skills, practice them, and perfect them and share them with my dynamic family. I have a big family, that only recently became so- with one birth sister, one step sister, four step brothers, three in-laws, and two step parents! It's a wild bunch, with plenty of imperfections, but that's just the way I want them to be! My parents have taught me to love, and have set the example I have needed at important moments in my life that have progressed me to where I need to be!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because three years ago I set a goal. A goal that no matter what it took, I would go on a mission. I set this goal and I tried to make every choice lead toward it. Leading me towards a place where I would be able to stand and testify of my Savior Jesus Christ. Even though I had been raised in the Church, I never had fully developed a testimony. I made mostly good choices, but as time slipped by, I slipped further into bad habits. It wasn't too long after high school that I realized I was as far from my Heavenly Father as I had ever been, and ever wanted to be. That's when I set my goal, directed my thoughts and efforts on a mission, and started forging a path. Now, this path was not an easy one. There were speed bumps, hills, cracks in the road, everything! But along this road I learned two things. First, Jesus Christ is my older brother, who loves me, sacrificed all for me, and was there to help me travel the rocky road. And second, that the end of the road would lead to more than a mission, but to OUR Heavenly Father, and that He wanted me to travel towards Him with all my might. As this road has been traveled I see the stops along the way that have brought joy and peace in my life. These stops have edified my testimony, and THAT is why I keep going, is to grow continually closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I love my church. I love my ward family. Nothing in my day or week makes me happier than being able to message all my friends, younger and older, and make sure that Family Home Evening is happening, that the weekly volleyball games I put on are going down as usual, and that we all have the love and support we need. I love coming to church, reaching out to people, and spending time helping the missionaries as a called Ward Missionary, soon to be "full time."
