Hi I'm Payton

I am from Salt Lake City. I work with special needs kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! Music is a beautiful way we can express ourselves. I enjoy spending time with my family and attending the temple. I am currently enrolled in college but after the semester ends I will be serving a full-time mission in Yakima Washington! I come from a split family but that hasn't dampened my love for the gospel and my Savior. I love Jesus Christ so so much!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the feeling I get from learning and living the gospel is a feeling I never want to leave me. It is a feeling that can only be described as love. I feel love for those around me and I feel the love of Jesus Christ. Everyone in this life goes through trials. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ and recognizing his love for us can make those trials so much easier to go through. Knowing you are not ever alone in this life is a wonderful feeling. Your Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ love you so much and they want more than anything for you to return to live with them again. Following their teachings and example can help us become closer to them. That is why our Savior died for us. So that all of us, no matter what we have done in the past, can repent of our sins and be able to live again with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity to teach the 5-year-olds. Their sweet spirits I get to be around each week make my entire week full of joy. I feel so loved by them and I hope they can feel my love and Christ's love for them. We talk about the basic principles of the gospel and having them learn something new each week fills me with love! I also attend a class each week through my college about the Book of Mormon. Being able to study that book in depth each week helps me better understand the importance of it. I've actually met someone through that class that has been such a blessing in my life. They have helped me better prepare for my mission and have led me to feel feelings of peace and love. They have truly emulated Christ's love.
