Hi I'm Nicole

I grew up in Idaho and I am now serving in the McAllen, Texas Mission. I love the gospel with ALL of my heart! I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the the fifth of 10 kids and I grew up in the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love sports, especially basketball, and I love to be outside exploring the mountains and the valleys. I also love to bake and cook. I experiment with lots of different recipes. Some have failed, but I just love it so much!! I love kids and hope to either be a Dental Hygienist, an Elementary school teacher, or a social worker after I return from my LDS mission. I also love to sing!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and is Atonement. He has helped me through troubling times where I questioned my worth and my abilities. I have felt alone in my life, even when I have been surrounded by people who love me. I was afraid to put faith behind my actions. But, as the time grew closer to the time for me to serve my mission, I had to put that faith into action. I had to trust the Lord to guide me and to help me. I tried to become clay in my sculptures hands. I needed Him to shape me into who I needed to be. I still struggled though, and I thought I was worthy and I didn't know enough. I felt that I would never know enough or be worthy enough to be an example of Him. But that was never true! He bore witness to me of my importance through those I cared about and many others around me. In General Conference this last October (2017) one of the apostles said something that pierced my heart. He said, "I may not know it all, but I know enough." That was what I needed to hear! Through that experience, I know, without a doubt, that God hears me. He knows the desires of my heart and would never leave me alone. I know He lives and I know He loves me. I am so thankful for Him in my life. I believe in Christ!

How I live my faith

I served as a president in the classes in Young Women's in my church so I helped plan activities that other youth would enjoy. I coordinated with other members to plan activities that would involve more community members. I was also called as part of the Youth Council in my home stake. I volunteered at the Saint Alphonsus here and I helped with local volunteer activities such as raking yards during the fall and helping out with the local fundraisers. I enjoy helping others during anytime. During the winter, I have gone caroling and baked goods for others around to help them feel loved and welcomed.
