Hi I'm Kay Lynn

I have lived in Utah all my life. I'm a wife, mother, grandmother. I'm a retired preschool teacher after 36 years. I am a Mormon!

About Me

My husband and I have six children, their spouses, and twenty grandchildren. I love to do things with them: playing games, camping, hiking, bowling, gardening, canning. . . We have fun activities and holiday celebrations together. I love to read a good book when I get a quiet minute alone.

Why I am a Mormon

Richly blessed with pioneer heritage, I am thankful to have been raised knowing about the gospel. I'm thankful to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I can pray to Him and He is there to bless me. I'm so thankful that He loved us so much that He sent His Son, our Savior to show us the way and teach us what to do to return to Him. As I think of everything our Savior did to pay for my sins and die for me I stand all amazed! When I stay close to Heavenly Father and Jesus that's when I am happiest and feel peace. I'm thankful for Joseph Smith and the restoration of the gospel. I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon. I love the valiant characters that teach us how to righteously follow God and serve others. I love that as I've read "my mind has been enlightened, my spirit has been enlarged, and I have felt the swelling within my breast"

How I live my faith

I love to serve my family and friends and fulfill my church callings. I visit some ladies in our ward, help plan activities for our cub scout boys, and teach some lessons to the inmates at Davis County jail. I often participate in activities in our community. I have found that serving others is also serving God. I'm so thankful for my body to enjoy the beautiful world that Heavenly Father created for us. I love to look at the splendid display of autumn colors, the snow covered mountains, beautiful blossoms and flowers, garden to harvest, sunsets and sunrises.I love the smell of lilacs, fresh rain, baking bread. I love to hear the sound of birds, baby laughing, and a child saying "I love You" I so thankful for the many blessings I enjoy.
