Hi I'm Yhann

I grew up in Santiago, Chile. I want to be a robotics engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, watching movies, playing the piano/violin and learning new languages. So far I know English and Spanish fluently and I believe to have intermediate level Chinese speaking skills. I have graduated high school and I will be studying to be an Electrical Engineer soon, after my mission. My ultimate goal is the become a Robotics Engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I was born to parents who are very active in the church and since childhood I have been a witness of spiritual experiences that have shaped my testimony and beliefs of gospel. I have also had many doubts, and around the time I turned 14, I was confused about certain aspects of the gospel, but through much prayer, study and repentance I found my answer. I know that the church is true, and that Joseph Smith did restore the gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter days, and that if you search diligently to gain an answer to your questions, the Lord will answer and you will know that this is his church.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings regularly and I try to help with any and all service projects I can attend. I am currently a teacher for the 9 year-old's in my ward, and so far it has taught me how to teach others the gospel better and how to have patience. I also home teach members assigned to me and my partner every month and encourage them to keep living the gospel and become better people.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We do regard the Bible as a Holy Scripture, and its teachings are taught to the members of the church. But we also believe that when it was being translated into other languages other than Hebrew, that words got incorrectly translated or changed, and that not all the books written by the ancient prophets are in our current Bible. Therefore, like the Article of Faith(written by Joseph Smith Jr.) number 8 says, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God".
