Hi I'm Brooke

I live by the motto of "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity" -Horace Mann.

About Me

At the age of ten, my mom stuck a camera in my hand and told me, “capture the beauty and emotion of our world”. Ever since then, I have been on an incredible journey that I hope never ends. Aspiring to have my images telling stories long after I’m gone. The lens of a camera have been my eyes. I am able to focus in, notice details, and small miracles. Photography is a gift linking generations, bringing the old time stories to life. It’s a catalyst to bring world issues to be changed. Photography has always been my voice. Throughout college and church, I've used art to express myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, my family, my neighbors, my friends. I know he is there every single step of the way, with his hand outstretched. I know that I am never alone, no matter what situation I am in. I know everything happens for a reason, even if we might not see it. The world is an imperfect place, with imperfect people. With all these imperfections around us, God's gospel is perfect. Christ teaches us through a still small voice. He knows your struggles, your fears, your strengths, your weaknesses. He will NEVER put a trail in your path that he knows you can't make it through. I am a Mormon, because through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I can constantly grow and progress into the person I ultimately want to be. Someone as selfless and kind as Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Participating and volunteering in my community is very important to me. By serving others I am more understanding, knowing I can do hard things, and I do not need a gold star for it. I am a more grateful person for the blessings that I have. From teaching to listening and serving, everyone benefits and grows.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is a great way to find happiness and peace. Mormons teach about the importance of service. I can testify that when you are serving others, you lose sight of yourself and grow to love the people whom you serve. Show more Show less
