Hi I'm Jodi

I have lived in Utah my entire life. I love my family. I love to travel and long to see the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 48 year old wife and mother of 6 mostly amazing children. My oldest daughter is married and my oldest son is engaged to be married. Our youngest is 9 years old. We have a very busy family. Our family is very active in church service, boy scouts, music lessons, band performances, soccer games and practices, dance and spending time together supporting each other. My husband and I were married and sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple 28 years ago. Our oldest three children are adopted and our youngest three are biological. We call them the "A" team and the "B" team. We are a pretty normal family with struggles and challenges interspersed with incredible, exciting times as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I have within myself a knowledge that this life is neither the beginning or the end. I know that I have been sent to this earth to prove myself worthy to return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that my family can be together forever, if I live up to the ordinances and covenants that I make with my Heavenly Father. I know that I am an eternal being and that when we die that this is not the end. I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches me all of these things and allows me through the Atonement of Jesus Christ to live again with my Father in Heaven and my family forever. This Gospel is at the very center of my soul. It is all that I believe and live for. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ and my family and I want to be with them forever. I know if I live this Gospel that this will be possible.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in my everyday life. I wake up every morning and pray to my Heavenly Father to keep my family safe and to help us make good choices and be good examples for those around us. I ask Him for help to know who I can reach out to make their life better. I try to listen when He prompts me to do good things and to help others. I try to live each day to the fullest so that I can say that I am a better person than I was yesterday. I try to be honest with others and be kind. I try to show love as the Savior Jesus Christ did when He was on the earth. I want to teach my children by my example how to leave this earth a better place than we found it.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Jodi
The Law of Chastity is that we believe that there should be no sexual relations of any kind before we are legally and lawfully married. We believe in being completely faithful to our spouse and to not share that sacred intimacy outside of marriage. Once we are married we believe in being completely faithful and to not even look upon others with lust or longing. Many of the problems in the world can be fixed within the walls of our own homes. When a man and a woman are completely dedicated to each other and none else, we are blessed with the ability and strength to unite with God for the good of our family. Show more Show less
