Hi I'm McKenna Hall

I grew up in Idaho, I love farming and family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My whole life my wonderful parents have taught me to value a job well done. I have really taken that to heart and I have grown to love to work and where I'm from there is a lot of that! I live in a tiny farming community where you are either a farmer or you work for one. I have farmed for the last 4 years and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I have also worked with small children at an after school program where I helped them to be better at reading and doing math. In my church callings I have always been surrounded by kids and I love their active minds and bodies. Even though my life isn't perfect I find strength to go through my days through Jesus Christ by using his Atonement.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon from birth but this doesn't mean that I don't have a conversion story, everyone has one. My conversion to this church began when I was challenged to read the Book of Mormon. As I committed myself to this challenge at first I was just going through the motions and not really understanding what was being taught, but towards the end of the Book of Mormon there is a promise given that if you ask with real intent God will make it known unto you whether this church is true or not. So I again committed to doing that once I finished and as I knelt down to offer up that prayer nothing came until a few days later. I was reflecting back on that experience and as if someone was talking to me I heard a voice say, "McKenna you've always known it was true, you just needed a confirmation." Since that day when I was 16 years old I have always been steadfast in this church because I had gained a witness of the truthfulness of this gospel. Even today as I feast upon the words on Christ whether that be in the scriptures or from the mouth of our prophets, my faith increases and I cannot deny that this is the true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith primarily by example. I live what is taught in the doctrine of Christ and live in a manner that is in harmony with those teachings. I have had various callings in the church where I have prepared lessons as well as giving talks in our church meetings. The longer that I am a member of this wonderful church the more my knowledge increases and my love for my Savior deepens. When I am trying to become more like Christ, that is when I have peace in my life.
