Hi I'm Benson

I love playing the guitar and trying to play anything else that makes a sound. I wake up to make others, and myself smile.

About Me

I am one child in a family of 10, and love them all like crazy. I enjoy any opportunity to entertain, get to know, or play with anyone I have the pleasure of meeting. I love to laugh, to sing, to cook, and to play my guitar. I love the Lord and am serving a two year mission in California to tell people how great I know Him to be. A strong believer that miracles happen everyday; We just have to keep our eyes open to see 'em...

Why I am a Mormon

Because of this Gospel, I know that God has a plan for me! When I consider the fact that God thought out and provided a way for me to return to Him, it fills me with gratitude. I am humbled to know that someone as great as He is, believes, trusts, and has confidence that I can overcome the challenges I go through in this life. Jesus Christ is kind enough to be My Savior and lets me lean on him when I feel weak. He is the one who gives me the confidence that I need to get up, to try again, and to endure. Truly, God is a merciful God. I am a Mormon because the designs that God has for me can only be realized through living His Gospel and following the perfect example My Savior left for me. It is my goal to bring others to the knowledge of His goodness. The depth of His plan is incomprehensible, and the love for His children is unfathomable. As I have tried my best to live the Gospel, I have found happiness, purpose, and love in my life. I know that this is the goal for all of God's children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to love all around me. I am constantly impressed by the Savior and the example He set for me. No matter who He was talking to, where He was, or under what circumstances He was in; He always treated everyone with love. I strive everyday to follow in His footsteps and do anything that I can to show someone they are not alone. Whether I am giving an ear to listen, a hand to help, or a simple expression of appreciation, I do it with the intent to show love. There is no feeling worse than feeling like you are alone; It is for this purpose that I strive to follow My Savior. I know that the small things we can do for each other seem insignificant, but it is only after we do those small things that we see how big they seem to those we care about. God performs miracles everyday for me to show me He loves me, but it is through other people that I see His hand. How amazing it is to know that I have the opportunity to be an answer to someones prayer just by performing small acts of kindness.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Benson
Do Mormons only help Mormons? Absolutely not! It is the goal for each one of us to follow in the footsteps of our Savior, even Jesus Christ. Jesus loved all, no matter how closely they followed in his paths, no matter how often they listened to his words. It is because we desire to follow him that we look for any opportunity we can to help those in need. The Bible says "...Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." If we really strive to serve the Lord, we will love His children Show more Show less
