Hi I'm Anna Vo

California born & raised. I'm a cat and dog enthusiast. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've lived in California all my life, but I have visited 15 other states! I currently attend Cal State Long Beach majoring in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology. I was raised Catholic, but got baptized on my own, 4 days after I turned 18! (August 27, 2017). I investigated for approx 2 years before I was able to get baptized. I can play 6 instruments! While I was still in high school, I was in marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, steel drum band, and drumline! I live off of hawaiian shirts and vans shoes. I am a freelance (amateur) digital and film photographer. I really love cats, dogs, and french fries.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because everything about this church brings me happiness. I used to dislike going to any religious functions, let alone any social functions, but now I attend almost everything! I have never enjoyed social events so much before and it's even better that it involves my Heavenly Father! It brings me utter joy to remember and ponder his gospel and be able to do that with other people who do too! I am a Mormon because I know getting baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is essential for me to become more Christ-like on this Earth and be able to go to the Celestial Kingdom for eternal happiness. I know the Word of Wisdom, standards of this Church, and gospel, are necessary guidelines for me to overcome adversity, trials, and tribulations. I am grateful for the many blessings I have received after getting baptized and confirmed! I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by (trying) to read my scriptures or other church-related books every day, attending church every Sunday, and just generally attending every church-related event as I possibly can! I am very proud of the markings in my scriptures and the tremendous amount of things I learned by reading and studying it topically. (I'm not very good at reading things from top to end, so topically is the way to go for me.) Before I was baptized, I attended early morning seminary at 5:40am for a year. I now attend institute classes near my college and in my home area as well! 2 weeks after getting confirmed, I received a calling to be on the Family Home Evening activities committee and Relief Society activities committee! At the same time, I received a temple recommend to do baptisms for the dead, and I hope to go at least once a month!
