Hi I'm Aryth

I'm a student. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning and studying about cultures, religions, and economic differences. I love reading, going for long walks, the rain, and the colors of fall. I have lived in over 47 different places in the United States (except for in Alaska, Hawaii, and Road Island). I am going on a mission and I am the third child in a family of five children, my mother and father are divorced.

Why I am a Mormon

I am from a family who is mostly non-active. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what I believed in until I finally read the Book of Mormon all the way through and sincerely prayed about the truthfulness of it. That is the reason why I am still a Mormon today. I got my answer and since then my life has been severely blessed and I have been happy.

How I live my faith

I have helped in my ward by being a secretary or first counselor for different parts of the Young Women. I have helped out in the soup kitchen in my community. I have long decided to go and volunteer study overseas so that I can help in making the world smaller for everyone.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Aryth
No. Its not required, it's voluntary. When thinking about going on a mission someone prays about whether or not they should serve and if they receive a positive answer and feels good about it then they can talk to their bishops about what to do next. Even if you don't end up serving, the process it takes to prepare for a mission can also lift your spirit. Show more Show less
