Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Utah. I LOVE music and nature. I like to play piano at the old folk's home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm eighteen years old and I am almost ready to serve a mission. I am called to the work.. and the Peru Lima Central mission. I am so excited. I love rock climbing, photography and long walks on the beach.. I love to play the drums and piano. I love getting to know people and their stories.. I guess thats part of the reason why serving a mission is so exciting to me. I love big cities.. I'm going to love it there.. I'm gonna try to just soak it all in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that it is true. I believe that happiness stems from the principles and guidelines. I believe that excellence comes from living these principles and guidelines. But mostly I am a Mormon because of the feelings I've had. The things I know to be true come from the love, strength and devotion that I feel from my Heavenly Father. When I think of that I know who I am and what is expected.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by visiting the widows inside and outside my ward. I am anxious to serve and love the church members. I have been the president for my quorum a few times and I really enjoyed it. Home teaching has been difficult to coordinate with people coming and going during the summer, but I feel like I won the lottery on the people my companion and I have been called to visit. At times I have participated in commemorating the stories of some of the elderly in my ward. I also play piano for the old folks home; they are awesome. They make me smile. Some of them may be a better piano player than I am, but I think I got them beat on the licks. I read the book of Mormon daily, and am always striving to be a better person. My motto is to live with as much enthusiasm as possible so that others may having benefited from you having lived (motto courtesy of Soul Pancake). But, my motto changes every day; the list include live simply, life is good, and never an unkind thought. Living my faith gets me excited for the future.
