Hi I'm MacKenzie

I'm a college student, I'm an avid BYU fan, I love soccer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Florida with my parents and two siblings, a brother and sister. My sister has two children, and I love being an aunt. I played soccer for 13 years as a goalkeeper. I'm currently attending Brigham Young University, and I love everything about Utah, from the snow to the mountains to the incredible people I've met there. I've been called to serve as a missionary in the Chile Concepción Mission, speaking Spanish (Me encanta el lengua, y estoy emocionada para servir la gente en Chile).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church by two great parents who lived and loved the gospel. In high school, I fell away from the Church after making some poor decisions. However, when I finally fell on my knees and asked for help and forgiveness, my life completely changed. I was filled with joy and love from my Heavenly Father that I had never felt before. From that point on, I've strived everyday to keep the commandments so I never have to feel the Holy Ghost leave my presence again. The redeeming power of Jesus Christ and His Atonement is real, and without my Savior I would still be stuck in a dark place. I'm grateful that I have the knowledge that I'm a child of God, and that no matter what He will always be here for me- I just need to ask.

How I live my faith

I've made it a goal to read the Book of Mormon everyday as soon as I wake up. The power and comfort I receive from reading the testimonies of the Savior every morning makes everyday that much better. At BYU, I was one of the women who helped bring together the sisters in the ward through visiting the ones who didn't come to church that often, and making sure that everyone felt loved and like they belonged there. I also try to bear my testimony as often as I can to anyone who will listen to it, because I know the joy and peace the gospel has brought my life, and I want to share that with other people.
