Hi I'm Nathan

I'm an aspiring computer scientist. I love musicals. I'm setting that aside to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Nate. I love computer programming and drumming. When it comes to passing time, though, nothing beats playing board games with my parents and older brothers. I plan on attending Brigham Young University to study electrical engineering and computer science. If I can, I also plan on participating in some of the band programs. I also enjoy science fiction movies and musicals, especially Les Mis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was "born in the Church," as we often say, which means that both my parents are Mormon and they taught me as much as they could about the gospel while I grew up. However, that is not the reason I'm still a Mormon today. When I was heading into my senior year of high school, I really began to apply the teachings I'd heard all my life. During that summer, the Spirit confirmed the truth of the doctrine to me. As a result, I finally gained a tried-and-tested testimony that Jesus is the Christ, and my life hasn't been the same since. Nothing has ever compared to the joy and fulfillment I feel as I try to be more like Christ. That lasting peace and joy makes every sacrifice worthwhile. And, most importantly, I've received answers to my prayers that confirmed to me the truth of the gospel. As a result, I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm putting all of those hobbies aside for two years to serve as a missionary. As a missionary I'll be looking to share the joy I've found through the gospel. During this time, I will be putting hobbies, education, and many forms of entertainment on hold to fully dedicate myself to the service of my Heavenly Father. Service is important to me. I particularly enjoy donating blood as frequently as I can, but when other opportunities arise I love to jump in and help. In doing so, I do my best to follow the example Jesus Christ set in serving and loving everyone.
