Hi I'm Olof

I'm from Sweden and I've been a mormon since birth. Today I'm on my way to serve two years as a missionary in Helsinki Finland.

About Me

I'm a 22 year old young man in the last stages in going on a full time mission for this church serving in Helsinki Finland. In my mission preparations I have worked full time as a professional painter. The job is sometimes hard and physically very demanding and although it can tear on you I found accomplishment in it. Besides work I find great joy being with my family and friends doing activities or just hanging out. I love playing or watching football and golf with good company. I like to watch movies/series and read books that gives me motivation and aspires me to be a better person. Training my body is just as important as to training my brain, so much of my free time is spent doing this. Overall I'm a person that finds joy in making others happy, and in doing so I feel my heavenly fathers grace in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a mormon doesn't automatically give you good things and blessings, no, you have to work for it. Life is a struggle and much of it is a pain that tears you down and knowing that Christ died for my sins through the atonement is a huge comfort. And although you'll wait for him when you're feeling week and inadequate he don't. Christ doesn't wait till your are perfect, he's always there with you, during every single step. For me it's important to know that God wants us to succeed. He finds great joy in seeing each and every one of us finding happiness in our own life. I'm a mormon today for the single reason that it makes me happy. It gives me inner peace and perspective that your trials and errors isn't what God judges you on, it's your goal and aspiration for being a better human being that does!

How I live my faith

I don't have the most knowledge in the scriptures but I see myself with great knowledge of the human heart. I find that I get to know God the most while I'm in the service of others. Helping an elderly off the buss or building a porch with a friend, asking for nothing in return, is things that make me feel his grace. Giving what you've got, no matter how much or little it may be, is what the gospel is about for me. So I strive to live my life being the best person I can be and to serve and love others just as Christ taught.
