Hi I'm Sariah Camille Porter

I have played soccer my whole life and although you can't really play soccer in the snow, I absolutely love the snow. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a member my whole life and I grew up with parents who are actively involved in the church. Along with teaching me the gospel, they taught me my favorite thing to play, soccer. At anytime and anyplace you could ask me to play soccer and I wouldn't hesitate to say yes. I love being around my family and its hard for me to be away from them. I attended a college on a full ride scholarship for soccer for one year, but decided it wasn't the place for me and ended up transferring to another college with my brother and sister and played intramural soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not just because its something that I've always been taught or because its what my parents want me to do. I am a Mormon because it gives me happiness that I can't get any where else. It allows me to feel good about myself and gives me a purpose to strive after and to try and achieve. It gives me a deeper connection and love for the people around me and for my family, which I hold so dear. It gives me the constant knowledge that I am loved by someone, even when it feels as if everything is going wrong. Being a Mormon I know that I am not alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to do better, not just for myself, but for others. I know that service is a huge part of my faith and so in order to live it giving service is what I need to do. Even its just a small service everyday. Like, doing the dishes without being asked. Service doesn't have to be a huge project for someone we don't know, we can all do service everyday for the people closest to us. I live by my faith by striving to be positive, in such a negative world. By trying to love everyone for who they are and just showing everyone some kindness. I live my faith by attending church and inviting others to join me.
