Hi I'm Eric Clifford

I am a senior missionary, previously a water treatment and pharma specialist. Husband & Father of 4. I admire people of faith.

About Me

I am a retired grand father. I have been happily married for 45 years to a wonderful woman and am a father of three daughters and one son. While raising my family I took them across the country and back stopping in six states while we raised children. They have enriched my life with five grandchildren including a missionary currently serving in California. I have spent thirty years in the water treatment industry followed by 7 years manufacturing injectable pharmaceuticals. Concurrently, I served as an active duty and reserve Army officer in the Medical Service Corps for 25 years. While away from work I actively participated in church callings. I served in the Primary, Sunday School High Priest quorum, and in the Young Men's organization. I also served as a ward clerk and as an executive secretary. Along the way I served in ward bishoprics as a counselor, and as a bishop, In stakes, I served in the Sunday School and as a stake High Councilor.

Why I am a Mormon

I have the privilege of being born into a family that taught important values while I was growing up. Honesty, integrity, social responsibility, the value of work, and love of country and of God were taught early on. I was blessed by the heritage of my mothers family who were early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a source of many examples and inspiration. It wasn't until I was in college that I became serious about religion. As I was pondering my commitment to the "Mormon" religion I felt prompted to humbly petition my Heavenly Father for a confirmation that the gospel as taught by the LDS church was true. I received my answer as I had hoped. A feeling of peace descended over me. My whole body tingled as the Holy Ghost testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel message I had been richtaught. I have felt that feeling a precious few times since that night. Since that night I have never doubted the divinity of Jesus Christ the Book of Mormon,or of the truthfulness of His Church. My experiences with His Church over the past fifty years have confirmed and strengthened my testimony. I love my Savior and His Church; I leave my testimony in his beloved name, amen

How I live my faith

We love the Lord and his servants. We begin each day with prayer and scripture study. Being retired is helplful but my wife and I did this while we had children in our home too. I supported my local and stake leaders by cheerfully accepting and fulfilling my assignments. I have loved the brothers and sisters in my previous wards and loved serving with them. I am now homeless (on purpose) my wife and I sold our home so that we could serve a mission. We look forward to new ways to show our love of our Heavenly Father.
