Hi I'm Nataly

I like traveling and reading books. I'm a college student interested in science. I'm from a family of eight kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are pretty normal: I love to run, ride my bicycle, read books, and travel to new places. I'd like to think I'm decent at singing; I participate in church choir a lot. I come from a family of nine. I have two dogs that love to guard the front door and love cuddling with my family. I grew up in a Hispanic home, and the native dishes of our culture are very good. I love trying new things and meeting new people. I am currently single, and I am working on getting my undergrad degree. I am also soon serving a mission, which is really exciting for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the decision to change and improve myself is one that resonates with me. I believe that change, the change that I want for my life, can only begin by the teachings of Jesus Christ and through His Atonement. I am a Mormon because I have seen the ones I love, seen the ones who inspire me, and I know the precious potential humans have was meant to last forever. I am a Mormon because it is a decision that is unpredictable, uncomfortable, and distinct to many people in this world. The things a Mormon should be are things that many people find as weak. To be tender, kind, compassionate, trusting, or reliable-these things are not common anymore. I want to be a better me, to be with my family, to be happy, and to be able to return to my Father in Heaven again someday. I know all these things can occur as I stay faithful and keep the commandments that I know God has given. To be a member does not feel like a decision anymore. It's just the way I am, a part of who I am. I want to live being a person that can help others find light in their life, just the way God has put light in my own life.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I participate in choir a lot, mostly because I enjoy singing but I also love bringing the Spirit into the chapel whenever we sing hymns as a choir. I also help out in the primary with the Sunbeams, which are the two to three year olds class; they are absolute angels and I learn a lot from how sweet and forgiving they are. I attend the activities for the sisters in our ward, and I usually attend the general church activities because my dad loves bringing the whole family out to those events. In our ward, I believe that the support and love we give to each other is the best part of how we live our faith, along with the many activities that are planned to draw us closer together.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Just as Moses was needed to guide his people out of Egypt, the prophet today guides us in whatever unique circumstances we have today. Through the Lord, the prophet is able to warn us of dangers, remind us of important doctrine, or share a new revelation from God with us. His primary responsibility is to bear witness of Jesus Christ. I believe, now more than ever, that witness is needed to inspire us to draw closer to God and to increase our faith. It is a true blessing having a living prophet today. Show more Show less
