Hi I'm Haylee

I'm from California, I'm currently serving a mission for the church, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the ocean, surfing or swimming it's one of my favorite places. I'm the 4th child out of my 5 siblings, who are my best friends. I love spending time with my many cousins as well. I'm an avid movie-goer. I am 2 years out of high school. I plan on going to a junior college close to home when I get back from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in this gospel, I never thought I needed a testimony of my own, that I would always be able to rely on my parents testimony. Luckily those thoughts changed a few years ago when I was able to visit Nauvoo, Illinois which is a special place in our church history. There I really got to study the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father very personally. I gained a testimony of this gospel and knew that I could not live my life with it. I have a firm testimony that through this gospel families can be together forever, that my Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died so that I may be forgiven of my sins. I have the strongest faith of The Book of Mormon and the happiness it brings into my life. I know it is no ordinary book and that if you open and read with an open heart and study it, you can feel that is another testament of Jesus Christ that our loving Heavenly Father gave to us to help us in these latter days. I know that we have a living prophet today and that the Lord speaks to him to give us direction in this chaotic world. This gospel has taught me to love more, to serve more, and to continually seek growth. I love this gospel and the light it is in my life and the immense joy it brings me to know that I can live with my Heavenly Father someday with my family if I do my best to follow Christ every day. That is why I am a Mormon because nothing else in this world could make me so happy.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church is family home evening coordinator. Every Monday night I get to plan a spiritual lesson, an activity, and a refreshment for young single adults I get to go to church with. There are also some ladies that I get to go visit with regularly to make sure they are doing okay or if they need anything. I also enjoy spending time visiting with the elderly, I even got the opportunity to make quilts for an elderly home once and hope to be able to do something like that really soon!
