Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has beliefs and teachings that are preconceived and significantly inspired by Heavenly Father. Every faith I've looked into has some form of challenged past or teachings that challenge the notion of a merciful and loving Heavenly Father or of an all-powerful being. The LDS church continues to prove, to me personally and many others, that doing the right thing is above the need for worldly possessions and powerful status'. Whether someone is struggling financially or is in extreme wealth, they are all equal in the eyes of God. Heavenly Father gives everyone a multitude of chances and isn't one to forsake a person because of their choices. Jesus Christ is the redeemer of the world and has given up his being for everyone, individually. He is the light in despair, the iron rod to follow in darkness, the perfect leader to his disciples, and the Messiah to everyone. I know that this Gospel was inspired and brought back to the Earth, by the young Prophet Joseph Smith. Asking not to make a new church or if he should do so, but asking God which church at this time was the true church. Where God told him, that none had the full Gospel. A Gospel that teaches, The Word of Wisdom, Law of Chasity, Law of Tithes, Obedience, humbling thyself before God, Enduring to the End, Coming unto Christ, and much more. This Gospel cannot be proven wrong because I know for 100% certainty that it is The Church of Jesus Christ. The importance of this work has already saved countless lives and families and will continue to do so. I thank the Lord for everything he has blessed us with as people of his Earth. I know the Church is true and that The Book of Mormon is an another true testimate. Lastly, I know the Gospel is true. I finish these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Because of my ward, I have been given many community service opportunities from helping people with their yard to helping people move. I've been asked to give talks in church, where I am given a topic and try to clearly and precisely convey the topic to the congregation. Another opportunity I have been given is being an assistant to the Bishop where I help lead fellow young men. All in all, I live my faith by doing the things the Lord wants even when no one is watching.
