Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Utah and love everything it has to offer. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, and I love my state for the people, mountains, and faith that can be found within it. With "the greatest snow on earth" I naturally love snowboarding and any virtually activity involving the mountains. My goal is to make it in the medical field, and as broad a goal as that may be, I hope to refine it at the University of Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up in Utah, I am unsurprisingly a product of the hypothetical Mormon assembly line, and with nearly everyone in school and even the neighborhood being a Mormon too, my faith was never really tried until it came time to go on a mission or not. Most everyone else was going on a mission, and I knew that it was my duty to as well, but aside from that, I didn't have a real reason for going. It is from that realization that for the first time I really thought about what it meant to be a Mormon. What did I really believe, and why? Through a reevaluation of the scriptures and fervent praying for a conformation of their truth I learned for myself the reasons I have for being a part of this church. I'm a Mormon because I believe we have a loving Father in Heaven and that the fullness of the gospel has been restored to the earth. And I believe that through that gospel we can learn how to prepare ourselves to live with our father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in my local ward activities and meetings. I have served in youth leadership positions in my ward and have seen the good that has come out of them. I went home teaching and tried my best to share messages that could benefit those who I taught, and ended up increasing my understanding in the process. I love this church and can bear testimony of the good that it does in the lives of others.
