Hi I'm Hannah Mackay

Canadian through and through. I am a university student and a soon to be full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Canada. I love the mountains and have had the honour of exploring them throughout my youth. I am an older sister to one crazy brother. From a young age I have always taken a special interest in family history. I love being able to record and share stories that have been past on from generation to generation. These personal histories have brought me so much joy and have helped me feel grounded in myself and my ancestors. I am a lifeguard and have always loved the water. In high school I became very involved with the Fine arts program where I developed skills in oil pastel portraiture. After high school I moved away from home to attend post secondary. I completed my first year of general studies and then decided to take the next couple years to serve a full-time mission. I leave in just a month!

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel is one of peace and love. I know that I have a father in heaven who loves me and knows me. It is easy to feel lost and alone but these feelings are always replaced by the comfort of knowing I have ancestor who have taught me the power and the blessings waiting for me if I invite my father in heaven and his son into my life. I am beyond grateful to share this gospel and all of the happiness and peace that it brings.

How I live my faith

In my youth I had the opportunity to be part of our public affairs committee. This taught me how to get involved with my community and how to serve. I learned how to use social media as a tool to share these amazing opportunities. Looking for ways to serve and and actually serving is a way to create unity with those of different cultural and religious backgrounds. When individuals of all walks of life join together in service, whether it be a food drive or natural disaster clean up, true happiness can be felt.
