Hi I'm Zachary Hatfield

I grew up in Utah. I love traveling the world and doing service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played High School Soccer and took five years of Mandarin Chinese. I've had the opportunity to do service in the Dominican Republic and Africa. I loved doing service, connecting with the locals, and learning about their cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and while growing up in the church it was hard for me to feel of the spirit when people said they felt the spirit so strongly I would try and try to feel it but I just didn't feel it. I finally recognized the spirit when I got my patriarchal blessing, and the feeling I got was just a really warm feeling in my heart. After that I could recognize the spirit in different ways, it's hard to explain what it feels like, but I know that it is the spirit. I will continue to follow Jesus Christ because I know the Book of Mormon is true I have felt its power in my life, and I can realize the days when I don't read the scriptures, because temptations are just all around me, but I feel the peace and strength the Book of Mormon gives to me each day I read it.

How I live my faith

When I played soccer, there was a lot of swearing on the field, and I tried to live my faith by being a good example at all times and showing respect to the others on the field. Eventually, my teammates understood my standards and stopped swearing around me.
