Hi I'm Kyllie

I grew up in Utah. I have one sibling and a dog. I am currently a college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I am working on my associates degree and will then work towards becoming a Registered Dietitian. I have been dancing all my life and danced on my high school dance team and I now enjoy going to the gym. I also love music and can play the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that they live. I know that we are all sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and he loves each of us individually. I know that they have a plan for each of us and that if we are righteous to the teachings of the gospel, we will be able to live with them again. I know that families can be together forever and we can see our loved ones that have passed on again. I know that this is possible through the ordinances that are done in the temple and that we can be sealed to our families for eternity. I know that Jesus Christ died for us so that we could repent of our sins and be forgiven of them. I know that the Book Of Mormon is a true book and that it is written for our day. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in ancient times and that they received inspiration from Heavenly Father on what needed to be written. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he did truly see God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. I know that prayer works and that if we trust in God and have an open heart to receive the answer that is best for us, even though it may not be how we want our prayers answered or that at times it may seem like we aren't getting an answer, that an answer will come if we are looking for it. I know our church is led by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson and that he can receive modern revelation for the church and its needs. I know that these things are true, and that if you have a desire to know as well, that you can ask God in the name of Jesus Christ and he will send his spirit to fill your soul with peace and comfort and a surety that these things are true. I so testify of this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do the things Heavenly Father would want me to be doing each day. I also live my faith by teaching five and six year old's as a Primary Teacher. I teach them basic principles of the gospel such as who God and Jesus Christ are, how we can become like them, what we can do to live with them again, what our purpose on earth is, why we are here, and where we go after this life.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

We believe that our temples are sacred. The things that happen in the temple are not a secret, and all who wish to enter can enter if they meet the requirements to do so. However, because they are sacred to us, certain requirements must be met to enter into the Lord's House. Inside the temple ordinances take place that allow families to be together forever, and for the dead to have the opportunity to accept the gospel in the spirit world, through baptism.
