Hi I'm Lizzie

I'm from Utah, I was adopted, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born to birth parents that were unable to keep me and my siblings safe. After the state became involved I lived with foster grandparents who loved and cared for me, but they weren't my family. Finally, through Heavenly Father's direction, we were placed with my mom and dad. After a year we legally became a family and a few days later we became an eternal family in the temple. My parents taught me about Heavenly Father and Jesus. I felt peace when I learned that Heavenly Father had a plan for my life. When I learned the song "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus", my mom said that it made a difference in how I acted - I had less negative behaviors and was more peaceful. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for everyone that can help them return to Him if they will accept Him and the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) because my parents were and I attended church weekly with them. Now, I continue to go to church because I believe that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. My life has been blessed because of the knowledge of the Atonement of Christ. I also feel blessed to be able to have an eternal family, if my family members and I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

When I was in school I would share, with my friends, the activities I did with the Church's youth group. I especially liked going to girl's camp. One of my friends, who wasn't a member, asked me not to talk about church. So, I honored her request. A few months later she, with her family, began learning about the Church and were baptized. After I graduated from high school I attended Relief Society with my mom; this helped me to not be nervous going on my own. Then I was asked to teach the 11-12 year olds in Primary/Sunday School. I have really enjoyed teaching the kids - they are so smart. Now, I am going to serve a mission for the church. I'm really excited to share with others what I know can bless their lives.
