Hi I'm Gavin

I grew up in Oregon, I have a love for agriculture and have been in it my entire life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I've been born and raised in Oregon my entire life and I have been deeply immersed in agriculture my entire life. From raising and showing livestock, to farming and driving tractors all day, I do it all on a daily basis. I have been involved in FFA and 4-H for most of my life and I have loved to do it all. I am the oldest in a very large family of siblings and cousins, and so many younger kids look up to me, and it is a lot of pressure at times, but it can also be a blessing. I come from a family that isn't afraid to work hard and we all are extremely competitive. Every day in our crazy family and farm life is so unpredictable, not only do you never know the hours you will work, but you never know what you'll be doing until it comes. But I have loved every minute of working and living on a farm. And while it may be stressful, it is worth it and I wouldn't change it even if I could.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I do not have a big conversion story or anything like that, I come from a very strong LDS background and so being a Mormon has never been something strange or different to us or to family. But, I know it is true. I know that this gospel has blessed me and my family in more ways than we could ever realize. I'm not exactly sure on what else to say, I just have known from a very young age that I am Mormon and that means something. And any other religion I have talked to others about or learned about, just doesn't seem complete. There always is a few holes in what they teach. But Throughout my life I have yet to find even the slightest hole in this gospel. I know with a surety that it is true. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being trying to be an example. I live in a very large family and I am one of the oldest kids in the midst of them all. And so every day I have the opportunity to be a good, or bad example to many of them. And I strive every day to be an example to not only them but to others around me. By going to church every Sunday, to participating in going to the temples as much as I can. I do it as much as I can. And I have seen the blessings come from striving to be examples to all of my siblings and cousins.
