Hi I'm Jeanpierre

A mormon from Lima, Peru. Majoring in Computer Engineering at BYU and getting ready to serve on the Madrid, Spain mission.

About Me

Used to be a swimmer, a triathlete, and a soccer player; now I'm just a college student but I still enjoy sports a ton. I moved to the US to study my major when I was 17 and currently I am waiting to report to the MTC.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since birth, so it took a while for me to separate my parents´ testimony from mine. When I was 12 and about to receive the Aaronic Priesthood I had one of the strongest spiritual experiences I´ve had in my life. At that occasion, I obtained a testimony of my own and because of that, I decided to embrace my religion. Everyone should look forward to obtaining a testimony of their own, and if you already have one look forward to strengthening it.

How I live my faith

In the church, anyone can be called to almost any position so it's always new and special. We don't have a paid ministry so everyone gets to serve in a calling or responsibility if they choose to take it. You could be called to be an usher for a day or the new bishop for five years. Through the years I haven't had many positions, but I have had the chance to learn leadership skills that have helped me in other areas of my life. Every calling certainly comes to the right person at the right time.
