Hi I'm Lindsey Anderson

I'm a go-getter. I love my Savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I run marathons. I'm aspiring to run the Boston marathon after my mission. I've hiked Machu Picchu, snorkeled the shores of Hawaii, built a schoolhouse in Peru, seen the Eiffel Tower, watched the Olympics in person, scuba dived in a crater, backpacked the Austrian Alps, and performed dental service in Mexico. The most exciting thing for me, though, is day-to-day growth and developing my relationship with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I was in the Honors Program studying Business Management at a private university before my mission and I plan on finishing my education after I return. After graduation, I hope to start my own companies. I love working hard, meeting new people, and exploring new things. What I love even more is feeling God's love for others as I serve them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This church is all about becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ and it provides the scaffolding on the house of faith for you to build your relationship with the Savior. I'm not perfect; I'm far from it. It took a long time for me to accept that I never will be. At least, not on my own. The Savior's Atonement for my sins--for our sins, means everything to me. It's only through His atoning power that I'm able to overcome my mistakes and push onward. I still struggle and trip up (a lot more often than I'd like to admit), but the Savior makes it possible for me to always return to the fold of His redeeming love and to feel it take root in my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a message of hope. Hope that we can be perfected in Christ, hope that we will someday live with Him and the Father again, and hope that this life is truly meant to be beautiful and wonderful (even though sometimes it feels hard to believe that). Because of this gospel, I know what it means to have hope. Most importantly, because of this gospel, I know my Savior, I know His love for me, and I will never forget that.

How I live my faith

I spend my time inviting others to come unto Christ. My sole purpose in this life is to help others receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, and I try to emulate this every day.
