Hi I'm Christopher Valenzuela

I am from Mesa, Arizona. I love to act, sing, and dance. I can be a bit of a goofball at times, but I love smiles! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to consider myself as a "giver of smiles." I just love to make those around me as happy as possible. I entered musical theater my Senior year of high school and easily came to love it! I just love the feeling of being on stage and expressing myself to the fullest as someone or something I wouldn't be in everyday life! (From a pirate to a wizard!) I love music, and I play guitar and ukelele. As a matter of fact, I played in 2 different mariachi bands for the span of 2 years! But I love all types of music, from classical to rock. I hope to be able to share happiness with those around me and hopefully the world one day. I speak Spanish and English fluently and love to use both languages equally, especially in a country as diverse as the United States. I am currently Serving a mission in the Cleveland, Ohio area, and I hope to be able to meet ALL kinds of people!

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I became a Mormon was not voluntary at first. I was baptized with my siblings (who have been inactive for the past years) in Mexico by two great missionaries. I, being an 11 year old child, didn't really care much about what had happened, so I continued on my life without attending church. It wasn't until my Senior year of High School when I started to ask myself: "Why am I not happy?" The majority of the students at my school were also Mormon, and I noticed a certain glow about them. They were always happy, they were always helping, they were there for each other and others. I wanted that, but I didn't know what it was. Eventually, my now dear friends urged me to take seminary, attend mutual, and just to be a part of them. Little by little, I have come to feel that love that the members of the church offered, which led me to understand the greater amount of love that our Heavenly Father has for us all. I am now in love with this great gospel, and my hope is to be able to help others feel that same type of love that I felt and still feel today.

How I live my faith

As mentioned before, I am currently serving as a full time missionary for the church. I am serving in the Cleveland, Ohio mission, and I preach the gospel to everyone. Previously, I worked as an assistant to the president of my age group, and had helped youth become active in the church. I have also helped out with many charities (Feed my Starving Children, for example) and had been part of the interfaith club in High school, which promotes peace and freedom through service. In addition, I love to visit and speak with the elderly in my church! They have such great stories and many experiences which help me as a youth to grow up maturely.
