Hi I'm Ryan

I've grown up in Utah and Kentucky. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing basketball and soccer. I am always actively engaged in something and this drive has led me to being an Eagle Scout and a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the truths taught have given me direction and purpose in my life that I see nowhere else. Each person is loved so much by our Heavenly Father and he has a plan for each of us if we will seek to know and do it. I also love this church because it requires action which leads to growth. There is always more to learn and do which gives an inquiring mind like mine much to be involved with. Last of all, I know the gospel has blessed my life. I cannot deny that I am happier and peaceful when I am living the principles of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have recently been serving as the President of Sunday School, or the gospel-teaching classes. It has been a great opportunity to see the amazing faith of each participant in the classes and how the gospel has blessed their life. This position has taught me a lot about how to teach and interact with others which has been especially useful as I am a soccer coach/official at the local YMCA. Several parents have shared that my coaching is more instructive yet kind at the same time. It doesn't hurt to try to be more like Jesus Christ at all times!

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Everything that we have belongs to the Lord, and he has asked that we donate 10% of our income to Him. In doing so faithfully, He blesses us in ways that we could not have done so for ourselves with that 10%. Show more Show less
