Hi I'm Kaelee

I'm from South Texas. I love food, movies, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have four crazy younger brothers. I grew up homeschooled in South Texas. I did a bit of everything growing up-sports, dance, martial arts, etc. Now I'm kind of a boring adult and I just like watching movies, looking at food I'll never make on Pinterest, and being around friends and family. I'm going to school at BYU in Utah, but right now I am serving a mission in South Korea. I play the piano and it has been a big part of my life. Right now I am just trying to figure out how to be a productive member of society!

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into this church and I am so grateful for it. I have had to go through some hard trials in my life and it was through living this gospel that I have been able to make it throught the rough patches in my life. One of the things I struggled with a lot when I was younger was my self-worth. It started very young and my negative feelings towards myself intensified throughout my teenage years. There's not one specific moment where everything turned around but eventually I realized that I am truly a daughter of God. I learned that He has a plan and a divine purpose for me. I have learned to turn to the Lord in my times of need, through prayer, reading the scriptures, and by serving others. I know that this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that there is a living prophet upon the earth today. I am a Mormon because of the joy, peace, and happiness I get from living the principles taught in this church.

How I live my faith

I try to make service a big part of my life. Through serving others I can really feel the love God has for all His children. When I have had callings in the Church I try my best to fulfill my calling to the best of my ability. One calling I had was the ward organist. I didn't know how to play the organ before the calling, and I still don't really know how afterwards! I did try to practice the hymns during the week before church, and tried to get to church meetings early so I could play prelude music and hopefully bring the Spirit to out meetings.
