Hi I'm Brooke

I am a college student. I am a lacrosse player. I am preparing to serve a mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college. I love watching lacrosse and Women's World Cup soccer. Recently I rediscovered my passion for art and now find myself sketching and doodling in my spare time. Being a middle child of a big family, home life can be crazy and fun and LOUD at times but I really enjoy helping out where I can. Jack Johnson and Nora Jones were my music artists all growing up. Currently I am preparing to serve (and will soon be leaving to serve) as a full time missionary for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, a member of this church, because it makes me happy. The truths I learn about myself, about God, about my potential, and about how I should love others, gives me a joy that I can keep with me every day. Even when hard things happen in my life or the lives of those around me. There is always hope. And the relationship I have established with my Savior is real and brings me a peace I have found in no other way. Being mormon and living the gospel of Jesus Christ as He has taught it, makes me so happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day of my life. I read scriptures everyday, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Every Sunday I attend church and learn more about God and his plan for me. I hear the stories of and am strengthened by people just like me trying to be better people and act more like Jesus would. I sometimes I share my own experiences. I try to give service where am how I am able to be used. Whether it's helping my mom out at home, calling a friend, or opening the door for some stranger, the little things can make a difference. If I try to help and love the people in my influence and where I am, and you do the same, the whole world can be helped and loved.
