Hi I'm Isabelle

I'm a world traveler. I'm a history enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at BYU. I don't know my major yet, but I am interested in Social Science. I love spending time with my family. My hobbies include swimming, skiing, playing tennis, and playing the violin, piano, and ukulele. I love traveling around the world, learning about the history and culture of the places that I am visiting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself that Jesus Christ really came to earth as a sacrifice for our sins. He was sent to earth by a loving Heavenly Father, to us, his children. He lived here and died here even though He was perfect. Because of Him, I can wash away my sins and mistakes. Because of Him, I can feel joy. Jesus Christ loves me, as he loves every single person on earth. It is through Him that I know I am a child of God. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a Child of God, who loves us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active member of the church. I have participated in leadership within the youth groups in the church. Most importantly, I live my faith as I strive to do what is asked of me and I try to live as Jesus would have me live.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Isabelle
Mormons, in many ways, are just like regular people. We still attend school, we still have jobs, we still have social lives, but there are small differences. First, there is the Words of Wisdom. We don't drink (alcohol, tea, or coffee) and we don't do any drugs that can harm our bodies. We also strive to be modest both in our dress and in our words. Second, we commit to personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church. We use these tools to become closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. And third, we strive to live our lives as Jesus would. We try to do our best to exemplify Christ's attributes in our lives. One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" and these small things in Mormon lifestyles help lead us to have joy in our lives. Show more Show less
