Hi I'm Tyler

I love sports and camping. I'm an outdoorsman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an all around sports player. I don't play anything professionally, but I'll play pickup anything in the backyard or with friends. My favorites are football, ultimate frisbee, and kickball. I also love camping and being outside. Another fun thing I do is read; my favorite series are Ranger's Apprentice and Michael Vey. One of my goals is to get into medical school, likely for something in the allergy department. I enjoy being active and getting out and doing things!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have asked God if it's where I needed to be and got the answer over time of Yes. For me it was more like a sunrise than turning on a lightbulb. I started in the dark with a little light from the stars, but I knew I needed to find a way to see better. Slowly the sun and knowledge started to come up and I could see things a little clearer, but I also knew then that there was something to this work and that there was the potential for more. As I worked over time, the knowledge grew brighter and brighter until suddenly I looked around and compared the light I could see now to the darkness I was in before. I didn't know where the turning point was, but I knew I was doing the right thing and have continued to work to learn more.

How I live my faith

I plan lots of activities for our ward to do. One thing I really enjoy doing is getting people out and doing something new. I live my faith by action and getting others to do the same. While working with the youth, we do anything from a mall scavenger hunt to raking leaves to playing games. Fostering a sense of community and inclusion is the best way to get other people out and interacting with others.
