Hi I'm Abigail Oswald

I am from South Jordan, Utah. I am serving in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. I am a Psychology student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing service and I work with people diagnosed with Autism and other mental disabilities. I went to college for a year before leaving on my full-time mission. Throughout my life I have struggled with depression but because of the church and Jesus Christ I have been able to see the light and dig myself out if the pit. I love football and I am totally not competitive. I love big families and hope to one day have one of my own but for now my focus is on doing the Lords work and bringing others the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is the only church that has the fullness of Jesus Christ's gospel on the Earth and without that restored gospel and the knowledge of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I would not be alive today. Being a Mormon is not just a title or a thing to be because you are from Utah, but it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. At all times, and in all things, and in all places. And I know that by following the Saviors example and being able to live the fullness of the gospel, I have been able to truly understand what it means to become a disciple of Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 18 months. In the past I have served as a youth leader and as a representative of the youth from my ward in a stake youth counsel.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Abigail Oswald
Mormons are not required to serve missions. It is a privilege and a blessing to get to serve a mission. Missionaries apply to serve a mission and to have the opportunity to represent our savior Jesus Christ and to help others come to know Him. Serving a mission is not easy, because if it was everyone would do it. But because it is not easy or required we have the opportunity to not only change the lives of others but to change our own lives as well. Show more Show less
