Hi I'm Marc

I grew up in the state of Alaska, United States, I love to travel. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am retired and love to travel and ski. I was a person that always asked a lot of questions, I was curious and wanted to know why I was here on earth, what I should be doing here before I die, where I was before I was born, and what happens after I die. This curiosity and thirst to know for myself these answers led me to the Mormon church.

Why I am a Mormon

If you have questions about what life is about, this is the church you should check this church out. There are so many answers to questions that people have in life found in the teachings of this church. I was Catholic but joined the LDS church in high school. I have learned so much since. If you find a Book of Mormon, slowly read it, while stopping your reading at various points to think and ponder about what you have read, you will know that it is true. That is what happened to me. Pray to Heavenly Father and ask him. This may be difficult if you have not prayed before but all you need to do is ask as you would ask your father here on earth in a regular conversation, and if you are sincere, and ask the intent to do something with the answer that you are given, you will know that God lives and that he inspired prophets to write the Book of Mormon. When you come to know that the Book of Mormon is true, then the modern-day prophets are also true, as they brought this book to us from God through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I try to help others improve their lives.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We believe that we should enjoy life and have fun. Live your life to its fullest! We know that this comes about by following the rules of life, or God's commandments that give us the best chance of living a life full of joy. We all have adversity in our lives, but we want to limit the adversity that is self-created. Learn the lessons of life sooner than later. We know that through service to others, our families, and friends, will bring us the most happiness and joy in life. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is when you have a ''hunch'' or feeling that something is true but you really don't know. You think to yourself, what do I need to do to know more? You then do something about it (action). Slowly you will gain more of a feeling that it is a correct principle or thing. You then do some more work, and as you walk that road, you eventually know the truth of what you were seeking. Faith takes study, pondering, and work on your part. When I wanted to have faith in the Book of Mormon I did not do anything about it but wonder if it was true or not. It was only after I read the book like the missionaries asked me to do, that I felt more feelings and realized that it was true. The key aspect of faith is to ask yourself, 'what work or action do I need to do to get my answer?' Then do it and ponder the new information that you have gained. This is the road through faith to knowledge. Show more Show less
