Hi I'm Hailey

I was born and raised in sunny southern Utah, and moved to Washington state my senior year of high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was little I remember going to church mostly with my grandparents. It was just my mom, my oldest sister, and me until she met and married my dad. In our beautiful blended family, through the blessings of temple sealings and eternal marriage, I was able to become baptized at 8 yrs old. I also gained another sister and an adorable baby brother. As I got older, I gained a passion for the arts and a love for learning. Growing up in southern Utah, our family moved around a lot, and I was able to make a lot of new friends everywhere I went. Nearing the beginning of high school, we settled down and bought a house in Hurricane, Utah, where I now refer to as my "hometown". I attended almost all 3 years of high school there, picking up a new interest in ballroom dance, and continuing my love for art. When my parents gave us the news that my dad had gotten a new job in Washington state and we needed to move, it was really hard for me at first. I decided to put my trust in the Lord, however, and followed my family on our new adventure mid senior year! It definitely wasn't easy, but I became a much stronger person for it, and have grown a love for the people and place I now live. Now graduated, I am preparing to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so that I can share with others the love and gratitude I have for the Lord's work and hand in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I owe everything I am today to His sacrifice. Without His Atonement and His plan of happiness for me, I wouldn't have overcame all of my trials and hardships and come out stronger because of them. I am a Mormon because every time I read the Book of Mormon, I get an overwhelming feeling of its truth. I know that it was written for us today and that its pages hold the fullness of the everlasting gospel. I am so grateful to be the daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves and knows me personally. He sent His son to die for me. He restored the power of the Priesthood on earth today through the Prophet Joesph Smith. And I know without a shadow of a doubt that He wants us to return to His loving arms one day, knowing that we fulfilled our mission here on earth. And this I say in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try my best to make every day an opportunity to become better than I was the day before, and I do this by coming unto Christ. I attend all of my church meetings each week with an eager open heart and a readiness to learn. I have loved being able to serve in my church callings as well as sharing my beliefs with those I meet. Preparing for my mission has helped my testimony of the Savior grow in so many ways. I feel so blessed to be able to live a life with a purpose that is bigger than I would have ever imagined for myself were it not for the fullness of the gospel.
