Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in southern California and was born into the Mormon religion. I will be serving my mission in Taipei, Taiwan.

About Me

Living minutes away from the beach, my favorite activities are body surfing and cliff jumping with friends. I had just graduated high school and have already received my mission call. After my mission I want to study either mechanical or electrical engineering at BYU. Most people I meet would never guess my ethnicity because of my height. I'm half Asian and White and I stand at 6"3'. I love attending fun school and church activities and many of my friends make fun of my awkward and bizarre dance moves. Some just call me a party animal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has been strong in the church. That is one of the things I'm most thankful for. Having knowledge of The Plan of Happiness and living by the church standards has helped me so much to become the humble person I am now. I know without a doubt that God lives and that every word written in The Book of Mormon is true. Every time I ponder the scriptures, I get a strong confirmation from the holy ghost that these teachings are true.

How I live my faith

Like I said, I love attending church activities. I have often been president on my youth groups, which involved me checking on others that may be struggling, teaching periodically, and preforming my priesthood duties, such as preparing and blessing the sacrament. Mutual is my favorite. I'm always impressed how the leaders were able to have a great time with all of the youth while inviting the spirit.
