Hi I'm Haley

I call Idaho my home. I love to play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing sports such as basketball and volleyball. On my downtime, you can find me in a hammock listening to music or reading a book. I enjoy being with my friends and family. I love the water. I enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, and cliff jumping. I grew up on a potato farm so I know how to do a variety of things. I studied Biology at BYU-Idaho for the past year. I love science and everything is offers.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in a family where the parents were already members, I was raised to attend my meetings regularly and to follow His commandments. When I was a teenager, I wanted to find out for myself if this was the true church. My answer didn't come right away, like a light turning on in a dark room; it came gradually, like a sunrise. It came through the little things I did every day. One day, listening in seminary about Christ and His atonement, I knew in my heart that this was the true church and I am right where I belong. All my worries and anxieties were washed away right at that moment in time and there was so much love and peace in my heart. This church and gospel means everything to me. It has shaped me into the person I am today. It is hard to find the exact words to explain how much this means to me. I feel our Savior's love for me everyday and I know that I am never alone. It is reassuring to me that when I have my hard days, there is someone that knows exactly how I feel at that moment. He is my Savior, my Redeemer, but above all, He is my friend. I know that Joseph Smith sacrificed everything he had to bring this gospel back on the earth so I was able to hear about it and learn from it. I am forever grateful for the sacrifices that were made in able to bring me this happiness in life.

How I live my faith

Growing up I participated highly in the community and in my ward. I have organized many service project for our community including: raking leaves, baking cookies for the elderly and filling sand bags. In the church I have had the opportunity to the youth and young adults lessons once a month. I have also had the privilege to keep records of who shows up to different meetings and activities.
