Hi I'm Austin Burns

I'm a theatre going, music loving Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a very musical family. Music always played a role, whether we were doing chores or playing at a family reunion, we always found time to sing. I was enrolled in piano lessons at a young age, and find so much joy in sitting at the keys and singing songs with my family. I attended a performing arts high school and focused in the discipline of musical dance theatre (mdt). I currently work at a theatre as a lighting technician.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness it brings me. I know that in the darkest times, when it feels like I'm alone and struggling, I always have the gospel and the promise that God is there to carry my burdens. It is extremely comforting and gives me so much joy to know that I will always have a best friend, someone that will listen to me, and someone who cares about me in our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. The gospel also brings the great joy of eternal families. I love my family with all my heart, and am so comforted to know that I can spend all eternity with them in this life and the life to come. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the single-most source of joy in my life.

How I live my faith

As a youth member in my ward, I do lots of service with the other youth, and help the members of the community and ward alike. Frequently, I will travel to the local veterans home and perform church services there. In addition to these, I often play the piano in various meetings, as well as accompanying the ward choir.
