Hi I'm Joshua McClung

I was born in Seattle. I moved all around the pacific-northwest. I am an Eagle Scout. I am a programmer. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in the pacific-northwest and wouldn't rather be anyplace else. I love the beautiful evergreen forests, the rivers and streams, the mountains, the rain, and the cool weather. I wouldn't see myself as a super physically active person, but I'll never say no to a hike, a swim, or a bike ride, because I love experiencing The Lord's creations. Aside from those things my other passion is technology. I really enjoy working on or with computers and see myself working as a software developer in the future. In high school I did speech and debate as well as robotics and found success in both.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I would be lost without this gospel. In today's age there is much conflict, strife, and loud voices saying "do this" or "do that, and you will be happy." What was once simple is now complex and what is right or wrong is different depending on who you ask. Amid all this turmoil, the gospel provides a light and a simple, pure path to happiness. Unanswerable questions are resolved, life's mysteries unfolded, and our purpose is put forth in such a way that it's almost funny that any of those things could even be considered confusing. The gospel molds me, pushes me, and helps me to become my best self, the person God wants me to become, the person he knows that I can become. While others struggle I am at peace. I always know what I should be doing, when I should be doing it, and how it should be done. If I ever hanve any questions I know that I can call upon the Lord and he will help me with love and in the way that's best for me. For these reasons I proudly call myself a member of the Lord's Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preparing to serve as a missionary. I will preach, teach, baptize, and invite all to come unto Christ.
