Hi I'm Paul Lingenbrink

I grew up in Washington. I like to listen to music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to listen to music. I am in love with Indie and Alternative music. I am the middle child in seven children. I recently graduated from high school and a community college. I am accepted into a university and have deferred for Winter of 2020. I am called to serve an LDS mission in Mexico in September of 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the principles and teachings in this church are a necessity to live a wholesome and happy life. I know that without my church, I would be completely lost in sin and become susceptible to it. I am glad that I have my church because it brings me so much peace. Not only does His church bring me happiness, I have seen it change the lives of others for the better. I have grown up with the gospel so I have relied on other people's testimonies, but I know now for myself that this is His true church restored in these latter days. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me.

How I live my faith

I participate in various service projects to show charity and love to those that need it. I find that Service is one of the most important things that I do. I try to be an example among my friends. I am an Eagle Scout, meaning that I have shown dedication and persistence which is evident in my work ethic and religion.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Paul Lingenbrink
Jesus Christ is the Great Mediator, the reason He is given this name is that He came down to earth to suffer for all of our pains and afflictions which are called the "Atonement". He knows how each one of us feels because He literally felt every pain and trial that we experienced or will experience. He knows each of us one by one because of this. You may ask, why is this necessary? Why did He suffer? What purpose did it serve in an eternal perspective? Well, a short answer is because He loves us. Unconditionally. It can be hard to imagine someone to love you despite the many terrible mistakes that you make. When in reality, we are all here to make mistakes. The only person who was perfect is Jesus Christ. It was because of His perfect nature that He was able to atone for all of our sins. The main goal in our church is to "Come Unto Christ". We can all strive to become better versions of ourselves every day. But it is only through Jesus Christ's Atonement that allows us to do this. As we strive to keep His commandments and participate in ordinances, we are able to return to our Heavenly Father. To participate in the plan of salvation is a true honor. When our Heavenly Father allowed His son Jesus Christ to atone, suffer, and die for our sins, it shows the true incomprehensible love that they feel for us. They want us to return. The price is already paid. All that you need to do is to repent and become more Christlike. Show more Show less
