Hi I'm Calder Lake

I'm committed to serving others. I love the peace and happiness that being a Mormon brings me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have gone to a couple semesters of college at the University of Utah. I hope to double major in German and Biology and possible go to medical school. Fishing, listening to music, camping, and playing computer games are some of my hobbies. I am currently preparing for my service in the Germany Berlin mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is the only church led by Jesus Christ through his prophet. I know this because of the feelings I have had while living the way the church teaches. When I decided to be baptized I felt this overwhelming sense of joy and comfort. The feeling of pure joy was so strong that I cried. I know that my Savior loves me, I have felt it whenever I am prompted by the Holy Ghost. I know that my prayers are heard and answered because I have had experiences that have proven it to me. I have prayed for comfort and received it. I have prayed for help in school and gotten it. This is how I know that prayer works and it is essential to my faith. This is just a part of my testimony. I would invite anyone who is looking for peace and comfort, anyone who is searching for answers, anyone who feels burdened with guilt to get with the missionaries. You, too, can gain a testimony and constantly feel the love of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith. This includes hometeaching, which involves visiting with some of the families in my ward monthly to catch up with them and to help them with anything that they might be needing. I have enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher for the youth in our ward. Going to church weekly to take the sacrament helps me to remember the importance of fulfilling my responsibility as a follower of Jesus Christ.
