Hi I'm Allyssa

I'm a third culture kid. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family moved around a fair amount while I was growing up, giving me the opportunity to live in several different states, and even a few countries. It has helped me to make new friends and learn about other cultures, and it has also brought me closer to my family - they were the only ones who were always there, and I couldn't have done it without them! I love being active - running, soccer, hiking, and I'll give pretty much any sport a shot. I also love photography! The world we live in is so beautiful, and there is something special about being able to capture that beauty and light.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but I have gained my own testimony through the years as I have prayed, read the Book of Mormon, and gone to church. Through these experiences, I have also come to know that Heavenly Father is aware of my needs and circumstances, as well as the situations of those around me. There are so many questions that we may have as we go throughout this life, and within the Church, I have received answers to these questions, which brings me peace.

How I live my faith

My faith is the way I live. I try to read my scriptures and pray every day. I look for ways that I can serve my roommates, my family, and even complete strangers. Seeing a smile on someone else's face and brightening someone else's day makes my day better! I also recently had the opportunity to speak in our local church services about the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith!
